Due to ongoing limitations within NHS dental contract, we will be reducing the number of NHS patients we are able to see. This has not been an easy decision, but it is a necessary one to ensure that we can continue to provide safe, sustainable and quality care for the long term.
The current NHS dental contract has made it increasingly difficult for practices like ours to operate effectively and cover the rising costs of delivering care. Despite our best efforts to find alternative solutions and to continue serving as many NHS patients as possible, we have reached a point where change is essential for the survival of our practice.
We want to reassure patients that our commitment to providing dental care remains unchanged. To help ensure ongoing access to treatment, we are introducing Denplan, a flexible, affordable way for patients to stay registered with us and continue to receive regular high -quality care from our team. We understand continuity is important to our patients and we want to reassure you that our dentists aren’t going and remain committed to Gateway.
We fully understand that this news may be disappointing and frustrating for many of our patients. We share that feeling deeply. Every decision has been made with the goal of keeping the practice open and able to care for our community- not to increase profit, but to preserve the service we provide.
Our team will be happy to answer any questions and help guide patients through the registration process for Denplan. If these changes affect you, you will receive a letter explaining what you can do next.
